Prerequisite training
The course participant must be in the possession of valid certificates of the STCW; BT and AFF. These certificates may not be older than 5 years at the start of the refresher course. You must submit a copy of these certificates by e-mail before the start of the course.
Medical requirement(s)
The delegate must be in the possession of a valid seafarers medical certificate. You must submit a copy of the medical certificate by e-mail before the start of the course.

Intended for

Seafarers who need to refresh their mandatory courses according the international convention on Standards of Training Certification and Watch keeping for seafarers STCW 2010.

Objectives

Refresh the competences and skills of the participants in Basic Safety Training STCW A-VI / 1 (table 1 - 4) and Training in Advanced Fire-Fighting STCW A-VI / 3.

Course content

  • Don and use an immersion suit, personal and group survival techniques, survival at sea.
  • Elementary first aid and transport of casualties.
  • Personal safety and social responsibilities.
  • Comply with emergency procedures.
  • Theory and practical training in the use of Personal Protective Equipment such as Breathing Apparatus and searching for victims.
  • Organizing and evaluating exercises.
  • Theory and practical training in the tasks of a Fire-fighting and Rescue team.
  • Practical fire-fighting training in various situations.
