Intended for
Persons designated to lead a fire-fighting and rescue team at an offshore mining installation.
Objectives
To train the delegate in leading an offshore fire-fighting and rescue team in emergency situations.
Course content
- Thorough knowledge of fire-resistant structures in relation to mining installations.
- Container on open deck fire-fighting, pressurized valve fire-fighting.
- Indoor fire-fighting and rescue, plant fire-fighting and rescue and helicopter fire-fighting and rescue.
- Delegating duties of the fire-fighting and rescue team members, organizing exercises and assessing and evaluating team performance.
- The role of the fire-fighting and rescue team leader.
- Thorough knowledge of the requirements in relation to the maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Thorough knowledge of fire-fighting and fixed extinguishing systems, fixed extinguishing and detection systems.
